Somerset Sepsis Stars are supporting this fantastic charity for the third year in a row by taking part in the #cycle4sepsis17. This year will see the above people, who are a combination of nurses, physiotherapists, and doctors plus partners cycle from YDH to Victoria Square (HQ of UKST) via Southmead Hospital to spread the word on Sepsis from the 1st-3rd September.... around 150 miles give or take a few....

This charity educates the general public as well the health care professionals such as us who have seen first hand how quickly and sometimes all too often devastatingly sepsis can affect patients in our care and see this occur near on a daily basis. The charity also provides invaluable support to survivors of sepsis and their families.

With the help of continued education, both us as health care professionals in completing 'The Sepsis 6' and the public being more aware of the symptoms to recognise, they can therefore seek help quicker, by asking 'COULD IT BE SEPSIS?' get the treatment needed and therefore save lives so we can all KISS GOODBYE TO SEPSIS.
