In thanks for the Somerset Avenue weekly lockdown concerts

Sonja Timpson is raising money for RSPCA

Somerset Avenue Weekly Concerts · 24 May 2020

RSPCA Putney Animal Hospital
Campaign by RSPCA (RCN 219099)
The RSPCA Putney Animal Hospital is a busy veterinary hospital located in South West London which each year provides veterinary services for thousands of animals in need.

Story

Since the Covid 19 lockdown began, our wonderful neighbours in Somerset Avenue - and from neighbouring Camberley - have treated us to a weekly concert. We have gathered in the street at a decent social distance from each other and have enjoyed old favourites, wartime numbers and even a piece composed by one of our newfound friends.

To say thank you, we have set up a Just Giving page. Two of our younger performers have requested that the money raised goes to the RSPCA, because they are worried about what is happening to the animals during lockdown. We think this is a lovely idea.

Our thanks to Liz, Phil, Caroline, Sophie, Richard, Julia, Kevin and Lizzie!
