We support Royal Marines and their familes to overcome their challenges

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In my last year of Royal Marines service I am taking on one last endurance fund raiser for The Royal Marines Charities who work tirelessly to support our injured troops, look after families and do this for those that need it for s long as they need it.  This level of support takes hard work, dedication and above all huge sums of money.

When the Royal Marines are not all over the news due to being deployed on one operational campaign or another it becomes increasingly difficult to fund raise.  People do have a habit of reacting to what they see on a daily basis.  Thankfully we are not experiencing large numbers of losses and serious injuries at the moment but the damage done over the last decade is there for all to see and it requires constant through life care.  The future is not certain in any of this, the charity must be there and be strong for any eventuality.

I will run the South West Coast Path in only 10 days starting on 30 September 16 at 5 am in Minehead and be complete some time on 10 October 16 in Poole.  This will mean I must run 63 miles per day and a total ascent of 115000 ft.

I'm doing this for the friends I've lost, my friends that still require huge support and the whole Corps family.  I also want to get the whole corps family and anyone who wants to support the corps family involved in the challenge by challenging them to take part.  Anyone will be able to just turn up and run on any day in any location.  My aim is to have as many people as possible to run with me during the 10 days.

The South West Coast Path Association is another fantastic organisation that I wish to promote and support during this event.  We have one of the best coast lines in the world not just the UK and I want more people to get out and experience it by running with me or coming out to wave me by.  Once you have spent any time on the path you will want to keep coming back time and time again.

Please get behind this event and thank you so much in advance for anything you do and spread the word.
