Sofia turns 40

Sofia turns 40 · 2 October 2020
Having donated hair and much needed funds for The Little Princess Trust before, it feels like now, more than ever, it is the time to do it again.
My name is Sofia, I am turning 40 on the 2nd of October, and this year I will be going through a 3h session of chemo on my birthday. Last June, I found out that I have breast cancer. I have been operated since, and I am now about to start a one long year of chemo and radio treatments. Further to this, instead of the big birthday party I was planning to have with my lovely family and friends, or the one month trip to India and Nepal that I booked last January, I will be battling cancer: we make plans and life laughs at them! To cheer myself up, I decided that to celebrate my big birthday appropriately, I must remind myself of what really matters: LOVE HEALS EVERYTHING! This is why I am asking all of you to help me finding spiritual and emotional comfort and also a feeling of fulfillment by helping me raising funds for The Little Princess Trust. At this point in time, I cannot think of a better way to turn 40 than helping children and young people who are going through the same battle as me.
I have cut my hair and donated two long and chunky braids to The Little Princess Trust, a couple of days ago; and I now kindly ask you that instead of a card or a present, to please make a donation to support the great work of this charity.
Many thanks for your generosity and for helping me making my birthday this special!
