Story

In 2017 I attempted The South Coast challenge and had to retire at km 77 due to injury and sickness. Even though I was given a medal I feel like I have left something unfinished.

Some of you will think I'm a maniac signing up to do an Ultra for the 4th time (especially with less than 2 months left to train). I have successfully completed London to Brighton and London to Cambridge for mental health charities. A cause that is close to my heart as I suffer from long-term depression & anxiety.

The last few years have been incredibly hard for everyone. On top of that, the rising cost of living is putting more and more people in crisis situations and unable to cope. The NHS and Public Mental Health services do not have the capacity to help everyone who needs it. That's where charities like Samaritans come in.

I called Samaritans years ago in a moment of desperation and I know a lot of others that have too. Supported by volunteers they operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland takes their own life. Please consider donating, no amount is too small.

Thank you for reading,

Sofia
