Event: London Landmarks Half Marathon 2022, on 3 April 2022
Team Sanctuary Trust is taking part in the 2022 London Landmarks Half Marathon. As a charity partner, all money raised by our 5 runners will support homelessness in Jersey

Story

On Sunday 3rd April I will be running my first ever official Half Marathon (21.1km). Since joining the active staff at VCP last year, I decided to up my game with regards to fitness. Miss Lezala and I completed 12 fitness related challenges in 2021 to raise money for the Jersey Children's Charity and raised a total of £1135.

This year, I have decided to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Sanctuary Trust who provide support and hope to the homeless community in Jersey. Since 2011, they have helped over 300 people address their issues and addictions, identify job and training opportunities and successfully move back into society with a renewed confidence and self-esteem. Their mission is to eradicate homelessness on the Island but, as a result of Covid-19, they have seen a marked increase in the number of people requiring their help.

To help them provide sanctuary, support and hope to the homeless, the charity have asked 5 members of the public to run in the 2022 London Landmarks Half Marathon and raise vital funds. One of those is me!

Any support and donations will be greatly appreciated and will act as additional motivation as I tackle this challenge!

Wish me luck...
