Story
The Kids Rugby Spirit Festival is a charity event organised by Societe Generale, in partnership with ChildFund, World Rugby’s principal charity partner for Rugby World Cup 2019.
Taking place in Yokohama, Japan, the Rugby Spirit Festival will gather
underprivileged children from Societe Generale supported charities across Asia and the Pacific, and other selected locations, offering them the unique opportunity to experience a 'once in a lifetime' Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Throughout the 3 days, from 24 to 26 October, 110 children (a mix of boys and girls aged 11-14) will come together for cultural exchange, educational workshops, a tag rugby tournament, and attend a RWC semi-final on Saturday 26 October.
The following charities have each selected 8 children to take part in the Rugby Spirit Festival:
- Australia: National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy
- China: Adream Charitable Foundation
- Hong Kong: HKRU Community Foundation
- Hong Kong: Hans Andersen Club
- India: Aseema Charitable Trust
