Hi all, thanks for visiting my page!
After successfully completing Sober for October I have decided to throw myself in at the not so deep end of a swimming pool full of liquor and stay sober for January... For those who don't know I have let alcohol control my life for over the past decade, leaving me a miserable, depressive who wouldn't leave the house unless an alcoholic beverage was involved. But over the past 24 weeks I have taken back the reins on my life and had more sober days than there is units in a bottle of rum, massive thanks to Open Road Chelmsford. After multiple fails to cut back on the devil's juice alone I've had to take a step out of my comfort zone, face my anxieties and reach out to Open Road.
Open Road is a registered charity who support individuals affected by drugs and alcohol. They took me aboard and offered me to attend multiple workshops of Mindfulness, Ear Acupuncture and other activities such as free gym day's... all of which have given me a reason to get out my pit in the mornings!
Also with the help of close monitoring by my allocated key worker I have managed to slash my weekly unit intake by up to 100%
Without the help from these guys and support from my family and friends I wouldn't have been able to kick the addiction as hard as I have. So please help me raise funds towards Open Road so they can continue to teach people that there is a positive path to take.
Cheers all... raises a glass of water
