Help raise £1,500 for Nakashian Children’s Support Centre
Your donation will help change lives and provide a brighter future for
disadvantaged and orphaned girls in Armenia.
Nakashian Children’s Support Center was opened in October 2012 by Mer Hooys, House of Hope - a home for severely disadvantaged or orphaned girls in Armenia - in order to empower them to learn and develop skills and become self sufficient, independent adults, able to earn a decent living.
As part of the centre’s programme, they are taught social, life and job skills, as well as the sought after skill of carpet weaving - one of the most renowned of the Armenian arts, and a big industry in Armenia.
£1,500 will provide one year’s worth of carpet weaving tuition fees and
supplies. Learning this skill alone could change the direction of some of these young girls’ lives. Help us hit our target and provide hope and opportunity for these young girls who would otherwise be at risk of falling into lives of prostitution, human trafficking, homelessness and violence.
Of those who have participated and completed the programme 94% are living in safe environments and 93% went on to graduate university or vocational training.
Donate today! Any amount, big or small, will help us meet the target and contribute towards a brighter future for these girls.
