Story
St Ann's Hospice is a charity which cares for thousands of local people with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses every year.
My Grandma was the strongest, most amazing woman I've ever known. She was my best friend and 16 in her head.
Unfortunately, she passed away last week (3rd Of May 2022) due to undetected Kidney Cancer that unfortunately was extremely aggressive and had spread by the time we found out as a family she was extremely poorly.
This all happened in the space of 2 weeks after being told she had arthritis in her back and constipated.
Anyways, her funeral was Monday 9th May which was also happened so quick as the time in between the death and the funeral, feels like the middle of Christmas and New Year... no mans land!
During this time, you question, what could you have done better? What went wrong? but those unfortunately are unanswerable questions.. So I asked myself what can I do now?
My solution: I can't run or do any crazy event right now as I need knee surgery (STILL) so I cant train as well as I would like too.. however, I can train you!
Apparently 1 in 3 people get cancer. Everybody knows someone who has suffered or perhaps not survived the dreadful C word. One thing that science has confirmed is that if you are Fit and Healthy, you can prevent cancer or if you aren't so lucky, have a better chance of beating cancer and surviving treatment as it is such an invasive process to go through and my grandma unfortunately wasn't fit enough to go through any treatment as it would have been cruel to do that to her.
So SOLUTION: In Honour of Vera - I am going to train (FOR FREE) anyone who makes a donation through this particular Just Giving Page which is sending your donations to St.Annes Hospice as it is the charity that looked after my grandma in the final stages of her illness.
I will be very grateful for any donation, but terms and conditions are you have to make a donation of £30 or above to receive 4 weeks of free ONLINE PT from Sophia and you must follow @sofit_uk on instagram in order to be coached through 4 weeks of training.
