Story
I am going to be walking Mount Snowdon on 6th May, to raise money for a cause that is very near and dear to my heart. My son, Finley, suffers with Cystic fibrosis (CF); this is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing. Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all, and Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to help.
At times of need and support the trust has been there for my family and me. I want to take this opportunity to help raise money for the trust to enable them to continue all their hard work for the CF community.
The climb up Mount Snowdon is 3199 feet, a challenge I’m ready for and excited to take on. Please donate what you can to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust; a cause that continues to make such a difference to so many families across the country.
