Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
45 men of Snettisham died serving their country in WW1, almost 1 in 6 of our village's adult male population. Not a single family or aspect of village life was unaffected.
100 years on we are delivering a project to truly remember and honour them and others who served and died alongside them by;
researching their lives and families so they become 'real' once more - this is now complete- taking over 500 hours
visiting every one of their resting places - 26 sites, 7 countries and 3 continents to re-affirm our commitment to them by conducting personal remembrance services - by the project’s completion we will have travelled over 12,500 miles at our own expense
raising as much money as we can for Scotty's, an amazing local charity supporting the children of men and women of our armed forces who have died in service across the UK, reminding us that 100 years from our 45's sacrifice we still have military families in need of our support and compassion.
we hope the ambition and scale of our remembrance project will inspire you and that you show your support for us by donating whatever you can......
Thank you
