Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

The Cow and Calf are the big iconic rocks on Ilkley Moor (you can guess which is which), and Sue Ryder have set up a massive zip-wire down from the Cow — which sounded fun when I signed up to it ... but now is beginning to sound a bit scary.

It's a “terrifying 270-metre zip line” according to the local press, starting from a tower that's being built on top of the Cow (because it isn't high enough as it is?). Just look how small the people are on the photo above! And here's a pic of somebody else zipping down it last month.

Anyway, the way this works is that I do the terrifying zip-wire bit, and you show your support by giving money to Sue Ryder. (Sounds a bit weird, but that's the way these things work, apparently.)

Depending on where you live, you may have heard of Sue Ryder, who provide palliative care hospices and neurological care centres, supporting people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one, or a neurological condition, they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses, and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

If that sounds good to you, and you have a little spare money you could afford to donate to charity, please could you press that blue ‘Give Now’ button over there ↗.

Thanks.
