Story

Pedal for Scotland is an annual cycling event covering 47 miles of beautiful (and hilly) scenery between Glasgow and Edinburgh. We are looking forward to completing this charity event and represent the Beatson. Sadly we have all been touched by cancer, and we are undertaking this challenge in honour of Clare’s Aunt who recently passed away after an all too short battle against cancer. During this short battle, she was cared for lovingly by the team at the Beatson.

Every success made by the team at the Beatson helps directly to put a smile on those successful in being told they are clear of cancer or delaying the illness to let them spend that precious time enjoying life!

Sunday is a celebration of being able to do the challenge on behalf of those people from the past, the present and the future all touched in some way by Cancer. Every penny raised will go to the Beatson, so we will do the hard work doing the bike challenge and cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh all you have to do is spare a few pounds and donate to a very worthy cause and the people who work tirelessly to put smiles onto those given the news of having cancer and then beating it!!
