Story
About 35 years ago, my Dad was part of a team that ran (yes, ran!) the Three Peaks Challenge. They completed the challenge in less than 16.5 hours, breaking the Venture Scout record by more than 3 hours and setting a new National Junior record!
The challenge consists of walking 25 miles up and down the national three peaks of the UK (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) and travelling some 450 miles between them, all in under 24 hours.
This summer, my brother and I, and a few friends will be attempting to complete the challenge ourselves (minus the record attempts and running). We are hoping to raise as much awareness and money as we can for charities researching pancreatic cancer treatments and patient care.
We would all very much appreciate it if you are able to donate what you can to this cause and support us in the challenge - it'll help keep us motivated in the middle of the night when we are halfway up a mountain! Thanks everyone.
