Welcome to the Smiles in the Aisles fundraising page! We, the fantastic people of Great Britain, are ransacking our fancy dress boxes to raise money for the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal, whilst at the same time bringing a smile to those doing their essential weekly shop. #smilesintheaisles is a charity fundraising movement that everyone can get involved in; do your own fancy dress food shop, donate or sponsor someone who is taking part!

With lockdown limiting our movements and human interaction at an all time low, people are definitely in need of some cheering up. Smiles In The Aisles is an entertaining, socially distanced way to raise a smile on your fellow shoppers faces, all whilst raising money for a fantastic cause. All those participating wear fun, family-friendly fancy dress whilst out on their essential weekly food shop. Either donate yourselves and take part in a one-off supermarket shop, or get sponsored to commit to fancy dress food shops for the rest of lockdown!

The National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal is raising money to offer support to those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic all over the UK. The funds raised are distributed to national and local charities, transforming donations into emergency food, health and wellbeing support, safe spaces to live, specialist telephone and web-based advice services and much, much more. It is nerve wracking walking into a supermarket all dressed-up, but as soon as you hear the giggles and people ask to take photos, you know you are brightening up someone’s day! (Plus, you’re wearing a mask so no one knows who you are anyway!) Be bold, be brave, create smiles in the aisles and raise money for a fantastic cause.
