Story
Saturday 16th September holds a great significance for me, as I look to finish my final event to complete the London Classic's 2023. I embark on a challenging journey, a 2-mile swim in open water as part of the Swim Serpentine event. However, this swim isn't just about personal achievement, it's about something much larger and more meaningful.
I'm swimming to raise funds for an extraordinary cause, Samuel's Charity. This remarkable organisation was born out of the love and dedication of a father who, tragically, lost his son, Samuel, to cancer at the tender age of 9. Samuel's story is one of courage, compassion, and the unbreakable bond between a parent and a child.
During Samuel's battle with cancer, he held onto a powerful desire – to make life a little brighter for other children and their families facing similar hardships. That's how Samuel's Charity came to be. It's a beacon of hope and support for those enduring what is often the darkest and most trying period of their lives.
The mission of Samuel's Charity is simple yet profound: to bring comfort, joy, and hope to terminally ill children and their families. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can help us achieve this noble goal. With your support, we can provide these young warriors with moments of ease, happiness, and respite from their pain and suffering.
Imagine the smiles that your generosity can bring, the precious moments of relief it can provide, and the strength it can lend to both the children and their families as they navigate these challenging times.
Please consider making a donation to Samuel's Charity today. Your contribution will not only honour the memory of Samuel but also serve as a testament to your compassion and commitment to making the world a better place for those in need.
Thank you for joining me in this heartfelt mission to brighten the lives of terminally ill children. Together, we can make a profound impact and offer a glimmer of hope during their toughest days.
