Story
On 14th February 2022, S2 pupils at SMC will be taking part in a fancy dress obstacle course in order to raise money for ECHC.
ECHC helps seriously ill babies, children and young people by supporting their medical care, mental health and family’s well-being. They provide engaging activities and life-changing equipment for those in need as well as helping families to care for their loved ones.
£10 could provide a memory box to bring comfort to a bereaved family
£25 could pay for a bedside support session, so children in hospital feel less alone
£50 could pay for a family film evening, so families have a relaxing treat night while in hospital
On the day, pupils will take part in 6 fun activities including a hula hoop marathon, a frisbee throw and a combat crawl. As mentioned above, the main activity will be the obstacle course which is designed to test a variety of physical skills. It should be a great day out for all as well as a chance for the pupils to take initiative and drum up support for a worthy cause.
