Story
Hello everyone! Small Fry here from our separate isolation stations…
We have been thinking of ways to connect with you all. wanted to see what you are up to in the great indoors. Did anyone else not know what zoom was before all this? SAME! We sure do now..
So we challenge you to send in a drawing of your video calls. From your zoom yoga class, to your online life drawing class, live streams, birthdays, quizzes, parties, gigs, talks, work chats & uni lectures… Whether you’re Zooming, house partying, skyping, Facetiming, Facebook videoing it all counts and we’d love to see it!
You can do this as a single illustration, a series of illustrations such as a comic strip, or even into animation/GIF!
In these challenging times we know how important it is to connect with friends, keep creative, exercise and engage with culture. And spread the positivity! So we suggest that people make a £3 donation once they’ve done the challenge to @manchestermind!
Please post your outcome on your instagram with a little background story to your call, tag us, and nominate 3 friends to do the same! & we’ll share ones over on our grid!
*Note: If you can, make sure these are 300dpi, as we’d like to eventually collate them to exhibit in some way (this will be a further discussion at a later day if interested!)*
Thanks everyone for the support so far! We're hosting a talks series as the finale to our Who you Zoomin?' project on Thursday 23rd July, 7pm! On ZOOM! 'Manchester Mind is an independent, local charity, which supports over 6,500 children, young people and adults each year. We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and we have a part to play in that. Our charity values the commitment of our staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations and help from our fantastic supporters make a real difference, so thank you for being part of our success this year.'
