Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When I found out I was to trek the 170km long Tour Du Mont Blanc in the Alps, I was ecstatic. I'm getting to do something not many people actually know exists and I look forward to it no end.

It wasn't long after our flights were booked, I sat and watched the Pride of Britain awards which inspired me to make a difference. And there was one charity in particular that popped into my head - the Royal Sanctuary for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), particularly, Portmore Lough, Lower Ballinderry, Co. Antrim. A local charity that I found out about only through BBC's Countryfile, I have taken several trips to the lake to birdwatch and photograph wildlife. A small, dedicated number of volunteers work there, and they deserve some sort of reward for their preservation work. That's where we come in.

Only a couple of pence and a share is all I ask of you. The RSPB is one of those charities that goes over people's heads, and this is the reason I want to do my bit for them. An issue close to my heart - the preservation of British wildlife - is what they specialise in, and I would greatly appreciate anything you can spare at all.
