Story
Mason was born on 30th May 2001, making his big brother Morgan very proud. He was a happy smiley baby and brought us all so much joy. Mason being our second child, it was clear to us that he wasn’t as active as his brother but as we all know, babies develop and meet milestones at different rates. We were not prepared, when it was confirmed that Mason had SMA Type 1 and 5 weeks later fell asleep to be with the other angels, on 21st December 2001.
Not a day goes by when we don’t think about Mason and know that he is watching over Morgan and his little brother Cameron.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA, is a rare inherited neuromuscular condition. It may affect crawling and walking ability, arm, hand, head and neck movement, breathing and swallowing. SMA UK is an established charity that supports and empowers anyone affected by the condition.
They are advocates for better services, raise public awareness and fund research related initiatives. The money raised in tribute will help fund their valuable work.
