Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My grandson Stanley has Cerebral Palsy. A brain injury which occurs at birth. Everyday he wakes up in pain, he's known nothing but pain for the 5 years since he was born.
There is a way to alleviate this pain by an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) to give him a chance to live life pain free. The NHS will not fund this operation due to Stanley not meeting their criteria, though, it has been demonstrated it would be beneficial to him.
I will skydive for Stanley with friends on 22nd May 2022. We need to raise £17,500 for this operation. Every single penny really will make a huge difference.
Any funds over and above what is needed for the operation will be used to pay for the physiotherapy needed for three years post op.
The operation is expected to take place at Alder Hey hospital June this year.
