Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
Joss was my brother-in-law and a truly brave & inspiring young man, he was just 14 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer, he endured 19 rounds of chemotherapy and 54 sessions of radiotherapy. Joss never complained and had such a positive outlook considering what he'd been through.
On the 22nd April 2013 Joss Sadly passed away, just a month after his 16th Birthday. As we've now passed the 5th anniversary of Joss' passing and only a month after what would have been his 21st Birthday, Joss' mum and dad have set a challenge to raise £21,000 this year for The Lewis Moody Foundation, which was set up in honour of Joss. To play my part I'm going to do a sky dive in Nottingham on the 20th August at 15,000ft and I'd like to raise £1000 (or more :-)) so please donate whatever you can and help us reach Joss' 21st Birthday challenge target. The sky dive has been paid for by myself so 100% of the money donated will go to the charity!
A little information about what The Lewis Moody Foundation does... they are administrated by The Brain Tumour Charity who campaign to promote awareness and reduce the diagnosis time of childhood brain tumours. The HeadSmart campaign has helped to reduce childhood diagnosis times from over 13 weeks to 6.5 weeks. The campaign is now aiming to reduce this to just 4 weeks, making the UK in line with, or better than the rest of the world.
They also organise fun & relaxing family days for children or parents with a brain tumour together with the rest of their family. The days give families the chance to escape the daily routines of medicine and hospital visits and also visit other families who are or have experienced similar difficulties.
Please spread the word :-)
Thank you
Much Love
