Jess’s skydive for Caroline
On 15th February 2020 the world lost a bright shining star, Caroline Flack. Caroline achieved many amazing things in her life, from presenting prime time tv shows, to winning Strictly Come Dancing, to being a leading lady in the West End. She really loved and thrived off working hard and performing.
But to those who really knew Caroline, her family and friends, she was so much more than those amazing achievements. Caroline was funny, kind, loving, silly and had a heart of gold. She had a huge impact on the lives of everyone who knew her, and I still can’t believe that someone who was so full of energy, love and laughter has left us. She is loved and missed everyday, and deserved so much better than the hand she got dealt.
I wanted to do something that will raise money to help the Samaritans to keep helping those who are suffering with poor mental health, and those who are in crisis. Caroline was a big advocate for being kind and helping others, so she would be glad that the money raised in her name will be going towards helping people in their time of need, and saving lives.
So I figured that as I’m scared of heights, a skydive was a good option - Caroline always encouraged me to face my fears head on and live life to the full, so I hope to raise lots and make her proud!
Just £5 can help the Samaritans to potentially save a life through their helplines.
