Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of our beloved Arron.
Arron very sadly passed away at the young age of 19 on 17th February 2021.
On 5th February, 9 days after speaking to his GP our world soon came crashing down when the Doctors at the BRI had the difficult task of informing us he had a sarcoma cancer which was very aggressive and incurable but possibly treatable. Arron received his first dose of chemo 3 days later in ICU whilst on dialysis. We hoped and prayed he would be a medical miracle but the cancer was far too aggressive. Way more aggressive than any of us including his Doctors anticipated. It was clear that within 7 days of starting chemotherapy the drugs hadn’t worked like we wanted them to. On Tuesday 16th February we made the difficult decision to turn off the dialysis machine and just 19 hours later he slipped away holding his Mum and Dads hands.
He was a very ambitious young man with lots of plans for the future with his beautiful girlfriend. Sadly these plans won’t be able to happen however all we can do now is make him proud of us and do the things he wanted to do in life. One of them being a skydive... so me, his brother in law, my sister in law and my best friend have decided to take to the skies and jump out of a plane for him! (If he knew we were doing this he would never believe us!).
So we have created this fundraiser to raise more money in his memory for Teenage Cancer Trust who were beyond supportive and still continue to be during this emotional rollercoaster we’re still on.
Please help us support this amazing charity.
