My dad was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in his teens and from then on got on with his life, enjoying every aspect he possibly could. He didn't let diabetes rule his life or ruin his way of living. I believe he did many things he wanted to do in life, such as Florida with us and close friends. For those who knew my dad you would know he was a happy, laid back person, who was happy to help anyone. His witty humour and caring personality were his main aspects, and are missed dearly by many who knew him.
On 3rd June, Adrian suddenly passed away from diabetic related implications. It was devastating and shocking news to all family and friends.
My dad was a bit of a dare devil and loved the adrenaline rush, I can remember him saying he would of loved to do a skydive. So I had this absolutely crazy idea to do that, myself and 4 other girls are doing a skydive on the 13 July (my 18 birthday) down at Swansea.
The girls who are doing the skydive are:
Myself, Chloe Jones
Jessica Long
Dominique Chambers
Abi Morris
Becky Webb.
Myself and the girls are not just doing the skydive in memory of my dad one of the girls who is skydiving is also type one diabetic.
