Story
hey everyone,
on october 25th 2024 i am jumping 15’000ft out of a plane once again, (i’m not crazy i promise).
i will be raising money for fourtuneswell cancer trust.
“Fortuneswell Cancer Trust is a registered charity that seeks to improve the services to cancer patients in Dorset, mainly through Dorset County Hospital. We have no paid staff – the Trust is run by Trustees and a Committee with other volunteers helping out when necessary. Our running costs are minimal so donations really do help cancer patients locally. The Trust has the full support of Dorset County Hospital.”
this leads me onto telling you a little bit about the individual i am doing my skydive and fundraising for.
you may know him as luke or mr bartlett.
in 2022 we sadly lost luke after his battle with cancer. during his fight he had shown nothing but bravery and still continued to love and care for all those around him.
wether he was a family member, friend, colleague or your head of year/pastoral support leader at school, i’m sure you are able to remember luke as the positive, kind and funny man he was.
in my eyes, luke was and always will be a hero. during the time i knew him and my time at school, he was the only one who made my feelings feel valid, the only one who listened and helped. if it wasn’t for him, i have no idea where i’d be today.
to this day i still salute him for being able to put up with hundreds of pain in the ass students for years.
he never gave up on us.
luke received all of his chemotherapy from the fortuneswell cancer trust. if it wasn’t for fundraising and donations fortuneswell cancer trust wouldn’t be able to offer their support to cancer patients.
i would like to partake in this jump, in memory of luke bartlett, to allow his name to live on and for him to be remembered as the brave and inspiring man he was.
we love you always mr bartlett. 🌈💚
thankyou for taking the time to read this. 🖤all donations are appreciated more than you’ll ever know.
