Story
Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
The hospice costs £10,000 a day to run and is experiencing a
serious shortfall in funding due to the COVID-19 pandemic – a funding gap of as much as £1.5 million – so we hope to raise as much as we can to help.
We're kicking off our virtual fundraising challenge, which will see members of the Skipton Properties team joining in individually to walk, run, cycle or swim the distance from our hometown of Skipton to the two European towns it's twinned with - Erquinghem-Lys, France and Simbach, Germany. Between us we need to cover a total distance of 912 miles, so we'd be grateful for your support and sponsorship so we can raise as much as possible for this essential local charity.
