LATEST: 10,090 skips out of 10,000
------------
My 8-year old son Timothy found out about the plight of the black-tailed godwit and really wanted to do something about it:
"When I saw that the black-tailed godwits might disappear forever from the UK I decided to raise as much money as possible to help stop it happening"
With just 50 breeding pairs left in the UK, this beautiful bird is dangerously close to becoming extinct as a UK breeding species.
Over the next couple of weeks, Timothy will complete a total of 10,000 skips with a skipping rope after school and at weekends!
Please give generously.

A bird brought to the brink
As a precious few black-tailed godwits return to nest, you can help to prevent their extinction as a UK breeding species.
Please support vital work to protect nests and fledglings on our reserves through Project Godwit. We are also tracking fledglings and reviewing data to help save their stopover sites like the Tagus estuary near Lisbon, in Portugal.
