Story
I'm running the 2018 Brighton Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK!
Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
My dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in April 2016. He's been one of the lucky ones. With early detection and treatment, his test results now show a barely detectable trace of prostate specific antigen (PSA)!
For too many men, however, diagnosis does not happen early enough. I'm therefore running this marathon to help raise awareness of Prostate Cancer, to get men testing and treating early, and to support the great research and treatment provided by Prostate Cancer UK
I'm no stranger to long distance runs, but this will be my first marathon, and I will be posting training updates over the next few months. Please do support me, and donate generously
Thank you
