On 7th November five of us from SJ Berwin's Paris office will run the New York City Marathon to raise money for the firm's charity of the year Excellent Development.

"No running, no money!" That's our motto and we will go until the very end of our limits to honor your donations and be all under 4 hours. As for you, generous benefactors, your own motto will be: "No money, no running!" Please make us run. It's not only going to be fun for us. It is going to be important for a lot of people.

Excellent is a brilliant charity bringing sustainable water supplies to some of the world's poorest communities. Its philosophy - to help communities to help themselves - and its long term vision means that our funding would not only help people today but will leave a long term legacy for future generations.

SJ Berwin is supporting Excellent Development for 2009-2010 and all money raised will contribute towards enabling seven vulnerable communities in Kenya to improve their water supplies and food production through activities which conserve soil and water, giving them security against future droughts.
