St John Priory Group for Bristol & Avon are raising money to fund a new Community Support Unit Vehicle, complete with first aid facilities to be used by our volunteers whilst supporting our communities.

The custom designed St John Ambulance Community Support Unit delivers everything our volunteers need to set up an instant and easily recognisable first aid base and communications hub. With added ability to carry cycles, our specialist responders can provide
support to even more inaccessible places.

The Community Support Unit will be a vital asset providing first aid equipment to smaller events. The Unit will ensure that St John people have access to the best kit when needed, keeping you safe and enabling us to respond more effectively and efficiently to the needs of local communities.

Since the beginning of the Covid outbreak our highly trained volunteers have given more than one million hours of support to patients. We may be past the peak of the Covid epidemic, but demand is still rising for first-aid support at public events and life-saving First Aid training to hundreds of people.

Our volunteers have stepped up and re-skilled to play our part resulting in our resources, including our vehicles, being stretched like never before. Your support will allow St John to prepare even more volunteers to respond and save lives.

Our goal is to raise £40,000 towards the cost of the new vehicle which we hope to receive in Spring 2024.

This is an ambitious target; however, we believe that with the outstanding generosity of our St John friends, we can achieve it. So far, we have raised nearly £10,000.
