60-minute runs in 6 days · 21 April 2021

Animal Free Research UK is a pioneering medical research charity that funds and promotes the development of techniques to replace the use of animals in research.

Story

Every minute of every day, 6 animals are used in research in the UK.

Animal Free Research UK are driving ethical, evidence-based research to fight, prevent and cure human diseases. And they’re doing it by investing in the most innovative research that focuses on humans without the use of animals. They are creating a future where animals are no longer used in medical research, where scientists focus on new techniques which are human relevant, giving better outcomes for everyone, people and animals alike. With your amazing support, we can advance human health and end the use of animals in medical research, forever.

To celebrate Animal Free Research UK's 51st anniversary on the 27 May 2021, they are launching #ChallengeforChange, where anyone can make a challenge based around the number 6.

My challenge is to run for sixty minutes on six consecutive days on my treadmill. I will start this on 6 May. I'll post each run on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ejbabb/

I may have to create a Just Giving page afterwards for all the food fuel I'll need...
