New bike fund explained
In addition to the day to day running costs for running the Emergency Rider Service (Fuel, Maintenance, Insurance etc…), we also need to plan for large expenditure items such as replacing our bikes. As you would expect, the bikes are well maintained and cared for but they also cover a lot of miles and inevitably need to be replaced. Our ‘New Bike Fund’ looks to address this and aims to build up sufficient funds to replace our current bikes when necessary and also, as demand for our service grows, to hopefully add to the fleet.
The Gauge below shows, in the centre, the target amount for a new bike fleet (currently around £52,000). The digital display shows how much we have currently raised towards this and the needle indicates our progress towards the target. Help us now to ‘Get into the green’!!
We aim to raise £14.000 to buy a bike for Midlands Freewheelers. This charity was close to dads heart and when you visit the website you will see videos of dad and blood bikes fundraising.
