At the University of Salford we want to use our skills to help make a difference in the World. In September 2012, I went to Uganda with teams4u to take part in a Sports / HIV project. Students from across the School of Health, Sport & Rehabilitation Sciences used sports coaching as a means to engage communities in northern Uganda to take part in a HIV awareness and testing programme, ultimately helping to save lives.

 

This year I will be taking part in a similar project but this time heading towards Sierra Leone. Where we are going to aim to make a difference to the lives of people who need our help.
