Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for Gaynor O'Brien.
The strongest, most beautiful, wonderfully funny and most caring mother, sister and auntie; Gaynor passed away on the 17th December 2013, leaving us all heartbroken. not least her four much loved children. The way Gaynor dealt with her illness was inspirational. She was braver than any of us thought possible, and her thoughts were always with her children and their wellbeing throughout.
We want to raise as much money as possible for the wonderful St Ann's Hospice as without them her final days would have been even harder for all the family. They gave us space, time and support, continuous cups of tea and helped us cope and stay strong throughout this awful time for all the family.
As well as this page, Gaynor's sister, Siobhan, has turned her little vintage caravan into a Santa's grotto. Children can come and visit Santa and his Elf and receive a little gift in return for a small donation to the hospice. The grotto will be open up to and including Christmas Eve and is in Gatley, SK8. If you wish to come along, please email sobby2711@msn.com to arrange a time. St Ann's needs to raise £16,000 every day to keep going. Anything you can give will go towards helping people like Gaynor and their families to make the most of their time together. Thank you for donating - it means so much to us as a family.
