As you may or may not be aware I lost my mum nearly 2years ago to cancer, and I recently found out that I too have the BRCA1 gene putting me at an incredibly high cancer risk. I have chosen to undertake a double mastectomy to reduce my risk of developing the disease, and its taking place on the 3rd of july.

I am asking you not to send me any get well soon cards or flowers, but instead donate the money you would have spent on these items to the Ayrshire Hospice.
