We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men.CALM PROVIDES>A free and anonymous helpline 0800 58 58 58 and webchat (5pm-12am daily) staffed by trained professionals>Bereavement support >A website www.theCALMzone.net with inspiring content by men for men>Campaigns tackling stereotypes of masculinity, suicide and male mental health.Help us save lives.

I knew Ian and  from the Hardmoors  family but more personally through the wonderful family at let’s run in Stokesley. He was one of the gentlest and funny men I met and he was a friend to so many. He was infamous across the hardmoors  community with his epic videos and support for others. His smiley face obviously hid a lot of pain.

Ian passed away this weekend after losing a battle with his mental health and I don’t want this to continue to happen. It’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to say you are suffering. Please consider a donation however small in his memory.
