I decided to choose this charity for the release of my song 'CANCER (PUYS)', which was written this year during the Covid 19 Pandemic that rocked the world. 

I kept hearing of friends, work colleagues, neighbours and family in the UK who had been given news that they had cancerous cells, or had found a lump, or their cancer had returned a second or even third time.  While they were either waiting results, or going through their chemo or radiotherapy - the COVID 19 Pandemic was also destroying lives. 

It was a tough time for all, as I followed one young lad on Facebook @Jaxson's fight for Leukaemia, and his siblings had to communicate to him via video linkup.  His mum Kelly, continued to post updates of Jaxson's fight, including TikTok video's of Jaxson just trying to be himself, while the world watched him lose his hair, his weight and sometimes his smile. BUT Jaxson continued to fight and smile through the pain and sickness, capturing the hearts of many across the world. 

I was inspired by him, and all my friends and family that were just dealing with it and taking each day as it came.  

My 50th came and went, and my flight was cancelled to visit my family in the UK.  I felt gutted that I wouldn't get to hold them and laugh with them on my 50th, but at the same time, I was able to sit back and realise it doesn't matter.  I am healthy, and I am not laid in a hospital bed, or travelling up and down to hospital for treatment.  I am not losing my hair, or my weight. 

I decide to use my time and my birthday gift of an Apple iMac and learn to use music software to lay down the vocals and a basic bass line for this song.  The lyrics came to me after witnessing many struggle through these times.  I am new to the music scene and still learning to play instruments and how to record from a home studio, but I had a lot of fun experimenting.  Chris Gibbs at Noiseathon records produced the song and laid the Guitar and Keys which just send this song to a whole new level.  I am truly grateful to have met this guy who spends a lot of time guiding me what to do next.  

So with the release of the song, being a very exciting time for me, I would love if you download through Apple iTunes or Apple Music as this boosts the place in the iTunes chart and increases the chance of more views.  Of course this will be released on other platforms too for streaming and downloading.  You can also see my video on my Youtube channel.
