Don't worry if you are unable to be in Rye on the evening, your donations will mean so much because you will be with us in spirit.
Every year more than 170,000 children are born with cleft lips and/or palates. Most can't afford surgery. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children suffering with unrepaired clefts.
Most cannot eat or speak properly. Many aren’t allowed to attend school or hold a job. Being born with a cleft in a developing country is truly a curse. Every baby born in Uganda with a cleft is given the name Ajok which means literally, “cursed by God” with some newborns killed or abandoned right after birth.
The good news is every single child with a cleft can be helped with surgery that can cost as little as £150 and can take as little as 45 minutes. With your support, we can changes lives forever.
