Story
Hi everyone!
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
As some of you will be aware, we are taking part in the 'Kinabalu Challenge 2009'. The Challenge will see us braving the delights of the Borneo jungle, where we will partake in a range of weird and wonderful feats, including jungle runs/bikes/treks, white water rafting, bamboo rafting, kayaking and (on the very last day of the Challenge – harsh!) climbing up Mount Kinabalu. All funds raised by us from the Challenge will be going to Shelter – a charity we feel to be very worthy of support.
Housing is the key factor determining a person's health, wellbeing and prospects in life. Shelter helps 170,000 people in housing need each year, through Housing Aid Centres, practical projects and its free housing advice helpline. The charity also campaigns for new laws and policies – as well as more investment – to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people, now and in the future. Shelter’s work is critical in helping to ensure that everyone has access to a decent, affordable home.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Shelter gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks for your time and support. We really appreciate it
Sinead (Yeah right, like she can run 1km back at home, never mind 10km in the heat of the jungle) and Helen (Sleep rough? Should be interesting…)
