Story
I spent 20 years in the Army and completed a number of operational tours. But these tours were relatively benign and none of them affected my life or my body in the way that operational tours, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan, have affected many hundreds of servicemen and women.
This is my chance to give something back and to help those who, having been discharged from the services, have found rehabilitation and transition to a civilian life difficult.
My aim during this challenge is to support wounded veterans in gaining the confidence and motivation they need to continue their rehabilitation, reclaim their dignity and their independence, and to allow them to find a fulfilling life outside the forces.
