Story
Against my better judgement, I will be participating in the Ride100 bike ride on August 4th. As the name suggests, I have to ride 100 miles from London to a big hill and back with other like-minded fools.
It's a bit like the Tour De France but not as long, not as steep, not as difficult and not in France.
I haven't asked for sponsorship since the infamous 1987 Downham to Denver school sponsored walk so if you wouldn't mind sparing a few of your hard earned pennies that would be great.
I will be raising money for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). This is a splendid charity who make an enormous difference to the lives of those affected by spinal cord injuries and their families. Lets face it, a spinal cord injury could happen to any of us at any time. If it does, the SIA will be there providing support in many vital areas that you may not even know you needed. For more information on SIA and the work they do - please follow the link on this page.
I do not have an enforced total to raise but would like to aim for £1000. This means I need 100 people to pledge £10 each - if you want to give more, less or none, then that's fine too.
Thanks in advance,
Simon
