Story
I am one of the 100 veterans walking the 100 miles from Ypres in Belgium to The Cenotaph in London to commemmorate 100 years since the end of WWI.
As a veteran this is a great privilege and honour to retrace the footsteps of those that were fortunate to make The Long Walk Home at the end of The Great War but also in memory of far too many of our brave young men and women who did not and that we owe so much to.
In making this pilgrimage my efforts can be rewarded by your kind donations that can help the veterans of today that are in need of help from The Haig Housing Trust.
I will carry the pictures, cap badges, medals and other military memorabilia of many friends in memory of relatives, their friends and loved ones of The Great War and the other wars over the last 100 years in which our servicemen and women have bravely served.
I will also walk with 99 other veterans of the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force which will be my Military Family once more and as one in this unique challenge
Whether your donation is LARGE or small; a symbolic £19.18 or £20.18 it will be gratefully received to support our veterans of today and in memory of those that made the greatest sacrifice that can be made by our Military, 100 years ago.
