Story
I will be running my first Great South Run (http://www.greatrun.org/great-south-run) on Sunday 23rd October and in doing so, will be trying to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
For those who are not aware, Macmillan are a charity
providing support for those affected by cancer. My reason for supporting them is that a year ago, my Mum was diagnosed with cancer and before, during and after her (thankfully) successful treatment, the team from Macmillan provided her & my Dad with support the family couldn’t provide, from information about the disease itself to practical support about the recovery phase. For information on Macmillan and the amazing job they do, please have a look here http://www.macmillan.org.uk/
To aid this, I have set up a justgiving page and would love it if you could visit and donate whatever you can. I appreciate we are inundated with these type of requests in our everyday lives and that we can’t give to everyone but even the smallest gesture would be greatly appreciated. If you are going to donate, please don’t forget to use the Gift Aid option if it applies to you. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/simonjnewby
Thanks in advance & I will follow up with the results.
