Story

Dear all,

Please visit my Virgin Money page to donate. Towards the end of last year, an old school friend of mine, Sam Keen sadly passed away at the age of just 27 after battling his long illness. He fought malignant melanoma for 7 years; with dignity, great courage and a total lack of self pity. Undergoing over twenty operations to remove tumours, Sam endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy, gamma knife brain radiotherapy and several cutting-edge experimental melanoma drugs. At the forefront of the fight against malignant melanoma is Sam’s oncologist for the entire 7 years, Professor Martin Gore, Medical Director of the Royal Marsden Hospital, the UK’s centre of excellence for cancer treatment.

Sam leaves behind his wife Ali. They were married for 7 weeks. It would mean a lot to his wife, four sisters, mum and dad and all his close family and friends if you could help me raise this money for such a worthwhile cause.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
