Experian Robin Hood Marathon 2011 · 11 September 2011 ·

We run respite breaks to benefit severely disadvantaged children

Story

On the 11th September, Simon Fairbanks will once again be donning his running trainers on behalf of the volunteer-led children's charity, Kids Adventure. After successfully completing half-marathons in the past, Mr Fairbanter this time tackles the gruelling full marathon course in Nottingham. Following a programme of intense training across Birmingham and beyond, Simon is primed and ready for the big day!

Kids Adventure is a self-funded volunteer charity, which takes over 50 disadvantaged children a year on non-residential respite breaks. These weeks are invaluable to building their confidence, social skills and long term aspiration - as well as providing them with a welcome break from their circumstances.

Simon has been training hard for this worthy cause and is grateful for each and every donation you make - it really does make a big difference. Thank you for reading - and hopefully donating!
