We are raising money in memory of Alana and Wes' first born son George Nicholson who was stillborn in February 2011.

Alana's message:

It's been three years now since we lost George, not a day goes by without us thinking of him.  We have been blessed with a beautiful, very cheeky little boy Alfie who is now 2 years old and together my two boys are very much with me very day.

This is the first time that I have felt strong enough emotionally to get involved myself and give something back to sands for all the help they gave to us and also to continue the research into stillbirth to try and prevent this heartache happening to other families or our children in the future.

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I hate exercise, I haven't been in a gym for 4 years therefore 10k is rather a big deal for me.

Neither Simone or I are runners and we have never run a 10k before so this is a huge challenge for us, but we are determined to complete it and raise as much as we can for the charity.

Simone's message :

We were all shocked when Alana and Wes lost George. You feel like things like that never happen to people you know and yet it happens to 17 babies a day. Will and I have seen how devastating this has been for them, their families and their friends and we want to help to stop that happening to other people by raising money for research.

Will has been amazing, he has raised so much over the last three years and was even honoured at Downing Street for his efforts so now I feel it's my turn to step up to the mark! Wish us luck, we are going to need it!
