My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you will be aware that my mother-in-law Lucy, and nephew James (aged 12) lost their lives to cancer. Inspired by a friend who undertook this challenge last year I decided to get on board and help to raise money for women's cancer charities.
I will be paying my own tour costs so all money donated goes to the 3 charities. To undertake the challenge I have to raise nearly £3,000.
The challenge itself involves cycling 400 KM across Cuba in a week so I will have to do some intensive training. Friends tell me Cuba is 'undulating', so wish me luck as I haven't cycled since I was a child.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
However if you are not a UK taxpayer it does actually work out better for you to let me have the money directly as apparantly JustGiving do take a small cut apparantly to cover their costs - they take this out of the gift aid bit.
However small, every donation counts. Thank you.
