Story
Thank you for visiting our page.
Some of you will know of our great friend Kieran’s story and his incredible fight over many years with his brain tumour. Through numerous operations, treatments, rehabilitation and the associated ups and downs, Kieran always put on a brave face and a smile, never wanting any special treatment or attention.
Over the years Kieran survived numerous ‘incidents’ like being rescued from a lift whilst we were dressed as Stormtroopers; falling through a pub window whilst dancing and singing to Shania Twain; grazing his bollocks and splitting his chin open whilst leap frogging a bollard; and writing off his driving instructor’s car whilst on his driving test.
We have decided that this year we will raise money for Brain Tumour Research by running in memory of Kieran. First, as a warm up, we will run the Milton Keynes Half Marathon. Then, we will head north to tread the same streets of Newcastle that Kieran did on so many occasions - Lyn and I have got places for the Great North Run (also a half-marathon).
Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated and will support the work of the Brain Tumour Research charity.
